This presentation examines how attire functions as pedagogical communication in popular music education. Through educator interviews and photographs, it explores how clothing establishes authenticity, reduces power distance, and embodies culturally responsive teaching. The presentation reframes "professional" attire as intentional dressing that supports student-centered practices in popular music classrooms.
