Gruppo Corale Folk Sirente The Gruppo Corale Folk Sirente is a traditional folk choir from the Abruzzo region of Italy, based in the historic village of Castelvecchio Subequo (L'Aquila). Comprising approximately 35 members, the ensemble is dedicated to preserving and promoting Abruzzo's rich musical heritage through performances of traditional songs and folk dances. Their performances are accompanied by authentic regional instruments, including the fisarmonica (accordion), the organetto (diatonic button accordion, locally known as the ddu botte), and the tamburello (frame drum). Through vibrant music, dance, and traditional costumes, the group offers audiences an immersive celebration of Abruzzo's cultural identity, keeping centuries-old traditions alive for new generations.
