About me
Dr. Beatrice Bar, choral conductor, composer, and researcher, has been engaged in music education for 30 years. She is a Senior Lecturer at the Faculty of Music Education at the Levinsky-Wingate Academic College. She previously served as a regional pedagogical supervisor in music education for kindergartens, elementary schools, and choirs, overseeing music instruction in the Tel Aviv district. At the Faculty of Music Education, she has worked as a pedagogical mentor for the past 20 years and headed the teaching practicum programme for seven years.Dr. Bar is the founder and conductor of the multicultural choir Kulna Jaffa, and she also conducts the Academic Faculty Choir at the Levinsky-Wingate Academic College.In 2021, she received the Engel Prize for Research in Hebrew Music for her doctoral dissertation at Bar-Ilan University, which focused on Israel Prize laureate composer Ben-Zion Orgad.
