About me
Carla Mattar (also published as Carla Ross), is a Canadian-based singer-songwriter, music educator, and emerging researcher currently completing a Master’s degree in Music Production at Leeds Beckett University. She holds undergraduate degrees in Music and Education from the University of Calgary and has three years of experience teaching secondary school band and strings, as well as primary-level music and choir. Informed by her lived experience as a Lebanese woman, her current research focuses on women of colour in music production, exploring issues of representation, access, and creative agency within contemporary music-making spaces.
