About me
Dr. Zhou is a dedicated music educator whose mission is to help students discover happiness, a sense of ownership, and confidence in learning. She currently works at the Conservatory of Adria, Italy, where she teaches music pedagogy and English. After spending 12 years studying and teaching in the United States, she has held positions at conservatories and colleges across the U.S., Italy, and China.Her research focuses on teacher development, learning efficiency in music and language, curriculum design, and the effects of music on language learning and family relationships. Dr. Zhou has presented papers and workshops at International Society for Music Education (ISME) World Conferences, Asia-Pacific Regional Conferences, and Music Research and Teacher Education National Conferences.She holds a Ph.D. in Music Education from the University of Northern Colorado, an M.A. in Music Education from Teachers College, Columbia University, and an M.A. in Piano Performance from the Manhattan School of Music.
