About me
Cristina Di Zio, PhD in History and Criticism of the Arts and Music (University of Padua), is a scholar specializing in music philology and bibliography. Formerly an Adjunct Professor of Music Palaeography and Bibliography at the University of Padua, she has participated in several Research Projects of National Interest (PRIN) dedicated to the census and study of manuscript and printed liturgical-musical sources.Her scientific research is documented by significant critical editions, such as those dedicated to Ottaviano Petrucci’s Frottole (1504), and by numerous essays published in international journals and proceedings. She is currently a teacher in History of Music in secondary education.Alongside her academic profile, she maintains an established career as a choir conductor: a graduate of the "P. Righele" Academy, she currently directs various vocal ensembles, including the NoteinCorso Vocal Ensemble. Furthermore, she is a member of the Artistic Commission of ARCA (Regional Association of Choirs of Abruzzo) and serves as the Scientific Advisor for musical studies at the "Costanza D’Avalos" Research Center.
