About me
Johann van der Sandt completed his studies at the University of Pretoria. Before his appointment as Professor of Music education at the Free University of Bozen-Bolzano in Italy he was Professor of Choral conducting at the University of Pretoria and Choir director and Musical rector at the Drakensberg Boys Choir School.In addition to teaching and doing research on choral music, singing and community music, he is a professional choral conductor and has led numerous choirs throughout his career. He currently leads the Landesjugendchor Südtirol and the University Choir unibzVoices. He is a sought-after juror, composer and choral clinician.
