About me
Lívia Helena de Moraes, Ph.D. is a Visiting Assistant Professor of Elementary Music Education at Oklahoma State University, where she teaches undergraduate courses in music education, including Elementary Methods in Music Education, Introduction to Music Education, and Student Teaching Seminar. Her research focuses on music education policy, curriculum development, and Brazilian folklore music. She has presented her work at national and international conferences such as the National Association for Music Education Research and Teacher Education Conference (NAfME), the Mountain Lake Colloquium (MLC), the College Music Society (CMS), the Florida Music Educators Association (FMEA), and the International Society for Music Education (ISME). Dr. De Moraes holds a Ph.D. in Music Education from the University of Miami, a Master of Music Education from the University of Cincinnati, and a Bachelor of Music with a double major in music education and flute from the State University of Campinas (Brazil).
