About me
Paolo Sullo graduated with honours in 2005 in Performing Arts, Music and Theatre Studies (Discipline delle Arti, della Musica e dello Spettacolo) at the University of Rome “Tor Vergata”. He obtained diplomas in Violin, Viola and Composition from the Conservatorio “San Pietro a Majella” in Naples, in Music Education from the Conservatorio “Gesualdo da Venosa” in Potenza, and in Choral Music and Choir Conducting from the Conservatorio “Domenico Cimarosa” in Avellino.
In 2013 he was awarded a PhD in History, Sciences and Techniques of Music at the University of Rome “Tor Vergata” with a project entitled "I solfeggi della scuola napoletana del Settecento".
As a musicologist, he has taken part in numerous national and international conferences. The results of his research have been published in several scholarly journals, and many further contributions are currently in press. He has also prepared the critical edition of Domenico Cimarosa’s "I sdegni per amore", within the framework of the National Edition of the "Commedie per musica" by Domenico Cimarosa.
He is currently Professor of History and Historiography of Music at the State Conservatoire of Music “L. Refice” in Frosinone, and teaches Elements of Harmony and Counterpoint and History of Twentieth-Century Music at the University of Rome “Tor Vergata”.
